About Me

Richard Jack-James was born in the tiny twin island country of Trinidad and Tobago. He has been an avid aviation lover since his first ride on an airplane between the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Richard joined the United States Army in 2002 as a 12Y Geospatial Engineer at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Richard has travelled and stationed Germany, Texas, Alaska, South Korea and North Carolina.

His passion for aviation got deeper when he was stationed in Alaska, where he got his first hand experience photographing airplanes at Ted Stevens International Airport. In 2012, Richard attended his first airshow at Joint base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. As his passion grew so did his interest. He started attending various airshows and airports around the USA. In 2014, he travelled to the United Kingdom and Germany where he got his first experience at two of the biggest airshows, Royal International Air Tattoo and Farnborough International Airshow. Richard hopes to become a professional photographer in the aviation industry and continues to enjoy the passion he cherishes.
